We've gone through our study of the five senses. On Thursday, we had a touch experiment. We started by reading a book on touch. Then we passed around some different items (cotton ball, math counter, Capri Sun) and described how they felt - hot or cold, smooth or bumpy, hard or soft, squishy, sharp, or sticky, etc. Then students worked in pairs to find objects in the classroom that had a certain feel. It was a lot of fun!
