Two-Digit Addition

We've spent most of the year working on mastering addition and subtraction problems. It has built toward this last month of the year when we move onto a preview of second grade: Two digit addition and subtraction! The class did very well lining up problems that didn't regroup. Those that do, however, have been more challenging. We are working hard to remember to start adding in the ones place, be careful to only trade when needed, and be sure to add that extra ten. Let's continue to work at home and over the summer to make those second grade teachers proud! This week we will use the same process and focus on subtraction.
