Action Shapes

Today we continued our unit on shapes in the SRA Art Connections big book.  After projects using geometric and free-form shapes, we worked on making action shapes.  We learned that we need to draw arms and legs that are not still, but in the process of doing something. Students tried to show that movement in their pictures. First they used pencil, then oil pastels, and finally, watercolors to fill in the background. Here are some pictures of our work!
